Study visit to Kirovohrad
Between 11th and 16th October the representatives of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship paid a study visit to Kirovohrad Oblast, a partner region in ‘P4G Partnership for Good’ project.
The delegation’s leaders were the Marshal of the Lower Silesian Viovodeship, Marek Łapiński, and the Vice-Marshal, Stanisław Longawa. The schedule included the meetings with the Chairman of Kirovohrad Oblast Administration, Volodimir Movchan, and Nikolai Sukhomlin, the Chairman of the Oblast Council. Delegation members visited farms, agritourism ranches and farming enterprises of the Oleksandrovsk and Novoukrainskyi districts as well as the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Kirovohrad. In addition, the visitors learned more about the region’s culture and education, having been to the local Filharmony, museums and educational institutions.
During their visit to Kirovohrad, the Voivodeship representatives had an encounter with the authorities of The National Technical University. The speech by the Lower Silesian Viovodeship General Office in Brussels director, Bartłomiej Ostrowski, was followed by the discussion with the students on European Union.
At the end, the delegation members spoke to the representatives of Karol Szymanowski Polish Society ‘Polonia’ in Roman Catholic parish of the Holy Spirit in Kirovohrad.
