Study visit to Kiev and Kirovograd
From 29th November to 3rd December the representatives of Lower Silesia Voivodeship (Region) went on a study visit to Ukrainian partner regions in P4G ‘Partnership for Good’ Programme.
The visit’s purpose was to disseminate Lower Silesian’s experience in winning investments, creation of new workplaces, enhancement of communes’ investment attractiveness and communal infrastructure to the Ukrainian authorities. The Marshal’s Office representatives presented the solutions during a day-long conference. The conference received great attention from the participants as well as regional and local media. The hosts expressed their eagerness to pursue such method of cooperation.
Apart from the conference, the meetings with deputy chairmans, Mr A. Nikolayenko and W. Syerpokrilov and directors of Kirovograd circuit administration took place. The visitors met also the members of Polish Association ‘Polonia’ of Kirovograd and paid a visit to Circuit Museum of Art in Kirovograd. The museum owns a painting of famous Polish painter Wojciech Kossak, which is supposed to be transferred to Lower Silesia. The Polish delegation famliarised themselves with the current state of affairs between T. Mikulski Regional Public Library in Wrocław and D.I. Czyżewski Circuit Library in Kirovograd, the latter in possession of pieces of Polish literature including old prints and archives.
The visit resulted also in the proposals for new joint undertakings.
